The Human-Technology Interaction Lab (HTI), directed by Dr. Zhang, is dedicated to advancing the understanding of human cognition and behavior in the context of transportation safety, trust in automation, situation awareness, and human-machine interfaces (HMI). By combining experimental behavioral studies and cognitive computational modeling, the HTI lab strives to advance our understanding of human-automation interaction and improve driver safety and enhance the interaction experience with connected and automated vehicles (CAVs).
