Ford Motor Company is moving into a new phase of its 100+ year history, one in which openness is at the heart of its future.  The automobile is being redefined as a networked computing platform upon which an ever-evolving set of applications is being designed, allowing us to create exciting new consumer experiences. We are exploring the role of advanced technologies which will redefine the meaning of mobility in the 21st century.  This includes developing automated vehicle systems, advanced display systems and future smart mobility solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing complex automotive systems from the user’s perspective and developing the HMI strategy for these systems.  We are looking for exceptionally creative, motivated and talented engineers to join our team.  We collaborate extensively within Ford and with external partners, thus we require exceptional communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities Include:
·         Planning and executing human factors studies on complex systems
·         Developing the HMI strategy for complex systems
·         Working closely with Ford engineering teams, devise and develop new solutions to the challenges of global mobility

Minimum Qualifications:
·         Master’s degree or higher in human factors engineering, or related fields
·         5+ years’ relevant experience
·         Experience designing, conducting and analyzing human factors studies
·         Experience designing user interfaces and user experiences for complex systems
·         Ability to think creatively and to champion innovative design solutions.
·         Strong written and verbal communication skills
·         Strong team player with record of collaboration
·         Excellent networking skills
·         Ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:
·         Experience developing advanced automotive active safety systems
·         Experience developing, conducting and analyzing on road studies
