Position Description
The Human Factors and Applied Statistics (HFast) Lab at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto invites applications for a 12-month postdoctoral fellowship, with a preferred start date of August 1, 2013. The postdoctoral fellow will work on an industry-funded human factors project which focuses on designing effective feedback for drivers to induce safer driving behaviors. The salary is competitive, and the appointment may be extended to 24 months.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Industrial Engineering, Experimental Psychology, or a field related to Human Factors
- Demonstrated record of research ability including journal publications and conference presentations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in
- driving related research
- using driving simulators and eye tracking technology
- applied statistics
